Directions
Vincennes is approximately 55 miles south of Terre Haute and 50 miles North of Evansville on US 41.
From 41, take the 6th Street exit. Travel 1.3 miles and turn right at E. St. Clair Street. Continue a few blocks and turn left on 1st Street. Look for the ITI signs!
Important note: Vincennes is on Eastern Time, (same time as Indianapolis). If necessary, please adjust your planning to coordinate any potential time zone changes.
Camp Pictures
No camera? No problem! Let your friends and family know that the ITI team will do our best to post new camp photos online each evening. Look for the photo albums on our photo hosting webpage: http://public.fotki.com/IndianaTeenInstitute/
Pictures may be copied and/or printed for free in digital form. Also, prints may be purchased directly from Fotki.com.
When You Arrive On Campus
Please look for signs directing you to the appropriate drop-off zone, parking lot (1st and Locust Street), and the designated check-in location (Vigo Hall).
Please note that participants will not have access to the dorm prior to 1:00pm, Our team wants to be in place and fully prepared to assist you upon your arrival, so no early check-ins will be permitted.
Also, to minimize lobby congestion, when you arrive on campus please park and complete the check-in process before unloading your vehicle.
Once you have checked in, received your room key and participant packet, you may then unload and take your belongings directly to your room.
Check-in will end promptly at 2:30pm so that we may all attend the opening session at 3:00pm.
Got Talent?
Singers, dancers, poets, comics, musicians and other performers know that long before American Idol and all the other talent search TV shows, there was the ITI Talent Show.
We encourage you to consider auditioning for the 2009 edition. It’s not a contest, its just a fun evening that celebrates a willingness to perform!
Please come prepared. Acts will be auditioned and limited to 2-3 minutes. Bring your CD tracks, musical instruments, costumes, and whatever else you require to share your talent!
Spending Money
ITI takes great strides to eliminate the need for participants to bring spending money. Money is not a necessity and ITI and VU are not responsible for any lost or missing items, including cash. If you choose to bring cash:
ITI will once again hold a “clearance sale” featuring surplus items. This will include a limited number of $3.00 t-shirts and other promotional items from previous years.
The ITI “Happy Camper” shirt will be available
for ten dollars. A limited number of each size will
be available.
There are vending machines in the dorm.
(you will want coins or singles, change is
NOT available).
If the light snack provided by ITI does not satisfy your evening appetite our friends at Domino’s will deliver large, one topping pizzas during evening recreation time for $7.00.
Some of ITI’s guest speakers and presenters offer books and other items for sale.
Finally, for you souvenir seekers, there is a University bookstore on campus.
