The first ITI event took place in the Fall of 1983. A weekend mini-Teen Institute was held at Center Grove High School involving students from Center Grove, Carmel, Howe. Among the core group of ITI founders were Walt Aldorisio, Emily Wade, Marilyn Basset and Vince Failla.
1984 - The first ITI summer session was held at DePauw University.
1991 - ITI begins hosting two summer sessions.
1994 - Vincennes University becomes the new site for ITI camps.
1996 - Endangered performed for the first time and begins touring.
2000 - ITI becomes an affiliate program of Vincennes University.

The Indiana Teen Institute - ITI Adventure (ITI) is an affiliate program of Vincennes University.
Indiana Teen Institute was founded in 1983 and has hosted nationally recognized, teen leadership institutes every summer since 1984.
ITI Adventure was launched in the fall of 2000 to highlight our experience-based programs available to businesses, schools, and community groups year-round.
The ITI team is committed to Equipping Leaders and Building Teams.
